18th Symposium on Knowledge and Space: „Professions and Proficiency: The Rise and Demise of Knowledge“, 26.-28.6. in Heidelberg
The 18th Knowledge and Space symposium on „Professions and Proficiency: The Rise and Demise of Knowledge“ will take place from June 26 to 28, 2019 in Heidelberg, organized by the Institute of Geography at Heidelberg University and funded by the Klaus Tschira Foundation. This symposium will explore various relations between professions, the development of proficiencies and concepts of intangible innovations, and will discuss the role of space in the creation, use and demise of knowledge. Although the symposium is not a public event, we cordially invite interested students and young researchers to attend. Graduate as well as postgraduate students can apply for a limited number of travel grants (up to 300€). To apply, please send an e-mail to Anna Mateja Punstein (firstname.lastname@example.org) including your name, affiliation and a brief statement of your motivation in which you may explain how the symposium relates to your own research. The number of participants must be limited to allow for intensive exchange.
